About Our Zoo

Dedicated to Conservation, Education, and Animal Welfare since 1985.

Our Mission

Preserving Nature for Future Generations

We believe that every animal deserves a safe habitat and that humans have a responsibility to protect our planet's biodiversity. Our zoo is not just a place to see animals; it's a center for research and rehabilitation.

Through our breeding programs for endangered species and our educational outreach, we strive to make a tangible difference in the world. We are committed to transparency, education, and the highest standards of animal care.

Our Story

From a Small Sanctuary to a World-Class Zoo

Founded in 1985, City Zoo & Aquarium began as a rescue center for injured native wildlife. Over the decades, we have grown into one of the most respected zoological institutions in the country.

Today, we host over 500 species and welcome more than a million visitors each year. Our aquarium features one of the largest indoor coral reef exhibits in the world, and our outdoor habitats are designed to mirror the natural environments of our residents as closely as possible. We continue to lead the way in sustainable zoo management, using green energy and water recycling systems across our entire 50-acre facility.

Animal Welfare

Our animals' physical and psychological health is our top priority. We provide spacious, enriched habitats.

Conservation

We actively participate in global breeding programs to restore populations of endangered species.

Education

We aim to inspire over 1 million visitors annually to take action for the environment.
